About Static Nails

Static Nails is the maker of the polished powerhouse that is Pop-On Manicures, a trendy, professional-looking set of gorgeous falsies that last up to 18 days. You’ll also find long-wear polish in its collection that is free from eight major toxins, vegan, and cruelty-free.

The number of publications Static Nails has been featured in is kind of crazy, including all the top names like Forbes, In Style, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar. The brand also has a hefty following of 215k on its Instagram page, filled with beauty shots of delicately marbled and precisely-filed nails.

The internet praise doesn’t stop there. The brand’s Odorless Remover was titled the best nail polish remover in Cosmopolitan’s 2021 Holy Grail Beauty Awards. And, also in 2021, Allure named the company’s pop-ons as some of the best on the market.

Overview of Static Nails

Rewind back 10 years and the options for glue-on nails looked plastic and fake. Sure, they’re convenient, but wash your hands a few times and you can say goodbye to at least three of them. Of course, sticking them back on wasn’t a thing either, and so you ran out and bought a new kit.

The worst part about press-ons? They only came in super limited styles. You either bought French or generic colors—where was the creativity that nail polish is loved for?

Fast forward to 2016 when Static Nails was created by Alexis Irene. She actually launched the brand from her college dorm, funding it with money she earned from modeling. Her idea was to create a press-on (which she renamed Pop-On) that followed nail art trends like 3D, contrasting designs, and accent nails.

Within the first six months of business, the Chicago-based brand brought in over $500k. Its partnership with Swarovski didn’t hurt either, nor the brand’s entrance into major beauty stores like Sephora.

This Static Nails review is going to get into the brand’s exciting nail polishes and pop-ons soon, but before it does, we’ll shine some light on its pros and cons.

Static Nails Cheetah French Mani Almond Review

Since Static Nails are vegan, cruelty-free, and don’t contain eight of the most common toxic ingredients, its polish and pop-ons are a great choice for anyone concerned with their health or the health of animals.

Comparison: Static Nails vs. Olive and June

It’s 2021 and we need more out of our nail polish. Thankfully, multiple brands are stepping up to the plate and in this section of our Static Nails review, we’ll be doing a quick comparison between our featured brand and Olive and June to see how they differ.

Olive and June offers 91 different nail polish colors and its thing is long-lasting, gel-like color. You won’t find pop-on nails there, but you will find fun sets, nail art stickers, and tools.

The competitor’s polish is vegan and cruelty-free, as well as absent of seven common toxins normally found in nails polish like formaldehyde and camphor.

Static Nails’s polish is also vegan and cruelty-free, designed for long-lasting coverage, and free from eight common toxins. Hmm, in the Static Nails vs Olive and June debate, our feature brand may have just one-upped them. And guess what? They have the exact same number of polish colors, 91.

Our featured brand’s polish is also infused with nourishing oils to condition your nails while you wear the polish and you can look forward to 10+ days of non-chipping. In terms of cost, an Olivia and June polish will cost you $8, while a Static Nail color will be $16. Though double the cost, you’re getting more benefits with the latter.

Static Nails Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

These nails aren’t just gorgeous, they’re impressive, they’re a revolution in press-ons! At least, that’s what we’ve gathered so far in this Static Nails review. Since we haven’t had the pleasure of testing out the shapely beauties ourselves, we’re going to need a little help from customers.

To kick things off, we rounded up a few ratings from the brand’s website for some of its bestsellers. We’ll show you those before heading into some feedback.

We decided to take a closer look at Liquid Glass Lacquer Cabana Boy mostly because it’s pretty, but also because it’s an expensive nail polish, so we need to know what customers think makes it so special.

Buyers agree that the color is accurate to what’s shown online, with all of them saying they believe it’s worth the price. Why is this? Apparently, the polish goes “on smoother than other nail polishes,” is totally opaque, and lasts a long time.

Static Nails grew in popularity thanks to its impressive pop-on nails. Most reviews we came across online were about them, just in different designs. So, we turned to Amazon to see what its brutally honest shoppers had to say about the Ballet Slippers Pop-On Set.

186 Amazon users gave the set an overall 3.5/5 star score, and we’ll include the snapshot before so you can see how it was calculated.

We came across one Static Nails review that compared them to other brands. It read, “Love these nails. I’ve tried a few different companies and Static Nails has been the highest quality and seems like actual nails vs. plastic. Their styles are very modern and stylish and do not look tacky.

Everything about this review is crucial as to why the brand is so popular. Whether you’re an adult or a teen, who wants fake, ugly nails? And yet, most other brands look so plastic you wouldn’t want Barbie to wear them. It looks like Static Nails really nailed its formula and also its designs.

To wrap things up, we headed over to a Static Nails review page on Influenster and came across a 4.5/5-star rating from 64 buyers for the Mademoiselle Mademoiselle Pop-On Manicure Kit. In terms of a breakdown, 75% of reviewers gave this set a perfect score.

Users seem to really love these, albeit this set is glammed out with glitter and gems so already it’s great-looking, but we want to know if it’s durable, too. According to Influensters, the nails most certainly are.

One Static Nails review read, “Love these!!! Totally worth the price because they are reusable and the glue isn’t like the kind that comes with cheap kits. It’s actually really good. I had no problem keeping these on for 1-2 weeks.”

It looks like the glue is really good quality, and we also found tons of comments that mentioned how the glue didn’t harm their real nails when they took the pop-ons off.

Overall, Static Nails are legit. They’re pretty, they last a long time, and they’re better than most brands when it comes to looks and feels.

Is Static Nails Worth It?

It’s one thing to make sure a fake nail sticks to your real nail for two weeks and another thing entirely for that glue to be harm-free. With Static Nails, you’re not dealing with cheap plastic and super glue, you’re getting a smartly designed product designed to make you look and feel good from start to finish.

With a selection of pop-ons and polishes, alongside fun tools like nail art, treatments, and of course, polish removers, Static Nails offers everything you need for great-looking nails, whether they’re yours or borrowed for 18 days.

FAQ

How long do Static Nails really last?

Static Nails says their pop-ons last up to 18 days. We fished around to find out if that was true, and lo’ and behold, users say they really do.

The nails stay on so long because of two things. One, what the actual nail is made from, and two, the special glue. Now, the glue is strong but it’s designed not to damage your nails. You’ll use more glue if you want the full 18 days or less if you want just a week.

How many times can you use Static Nails?

You can use Static Nails up to 6 times each.

How do I remove my Static Nails?

Static Nails were created to be tough. You can wear them in the shower, do the dishes, have a hot tub party and those puppies aren’t going to budge.

When it comes time to remove them, the brand recommends soaking your nails in as hot of water as you can stand for a few minutes. Then, gently lift up on either side of the nail and it will pop off.

If you need to, you can use a spare nail (you’re sent 24 in the kit so you’ll have 4 spares) to pop the nail off. If you use this method, remember to never use force.

What is Static Nails’s Shipping Policy?

Static Nails go the distance, shipping all over the world. The only product that doesn’t is the Liquid Glass Lacquer. The lacquer ships to most states in the US, just not AK, VI, PR, and HI.

Some notes about the brand’s shipping:

What is Static Nails’s Return Policy?

Static Nails does not accept returns or process exchanges for any of its items, including unopened ones unless they have a defect.

If you notice anything odd about your product, get in touch with the brand within 48 hours from the time you receive your order. It’s a short time frame so just be sure to check your items over as soon as they arrive on your doorstep.
