About Meaningful Beauty

Meaningful Beauty Review

Meaningful Beauty is Cindy Crawford’s signature skincare line that utilizes a powerful melon extract to diminish imperfections and signs of aging. Extending to hair and body care products as well, the brand’s focus is on restoring youth without the need for cosmetic surgery.

The brand has been around for over 15 years and Cindy looks just as good as she did when she started it. Her iconic face will always generate buzz, so the 341k followers on Facebook don’t come as much of a surprise – but that doesn’t mean it’s not noteworthy.

In this Meaningful Beauty review, we’ll check out the brand and their bestsellers, do a little digging to find helpful customer reviews, reveal information on promotions, and more to help you decide if their youth-regenerating products are right for you.

Overview of Meaningful Beauty

Meaningful Beauty Review

You can’t think of Meaningful Beauty without picturing Cindy Crawford. There’s a good chance you caught a mid-day infomercial of Cindy’s million-dollar smile and completely flawless face proudly showing off the effects of Dr. Sebagh’s (her personal cosmetic doctor) new formula.

Of course, any product that says we’ll look like Cindy is one many would gladly spare a few minutes for, and in that time, we all learned that her wrinkle-free face had a rare French melon extract to thank.

This was Meaningful Beauty’s signature formula, and though the brand has made some updates to include more modern ingredients, the extract is still found within the majority of their products.

Meaningful Beauty Review

Located in El Segundo, California and owned by Guthy Renker, the brand was officially launched in 2004 after Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, a cosmetic doctor and plastic surgeon, formulated the effective line.

Guthy Renker is the company behind big brands like JLo Glow, Tony Robbins, and IT Cosmetics.

Established in 1987 by Bill Guthy and Greg Renker, the pair was inspired by the self-help industry, as their first marketing job was launching ‘Think and Grow Rich’, an empowerment manual still read and talked about to this day.

Before we show you exactly what the brand’s products are made of and what they can do for your skin, this Meaningful Beauty review will fill you in on their pros and cons:

Meaningful Beauty Review

The next section of this Meaningful Beauty review will feature the brand’s highest-selling skincare products.

Each is packed with a blend of potent, skin-renewing heroes. We’ve listed the effects, ingredients, and sizes of each product below to help give you a better understanding of what they can do for you.

Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum Review

Almost everything you’ve ever heard to look for in a beauty cream is found within the Creme de Serum. Hyaluronic acid ensures skin stays hydrated, peptides help create collagen, and Vitamin C brightens and renews.

This formula is a mix of a potent serum with the richness, moisture, and easy application of a cream. Diminish wrinkles and fine lines, even out texture and tone, and keep hydration locked in with the 1 fl oz Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum for $64

Meaningful Beauty Wrinkle Smoothing Capsules Review

Oh, we just love a good capsule. Pre-measured and safely packed away from oxidation, capsules are the skincare version of your favorite individually wrapped mini collection of candies.

Like candy, the results you see from these capsules may keep you reaching into the jar for another.

The Wrinkle Smoothing Capsules come in a container of 60. There’s no specification whether to use in the AM and PM, but typically, one jar/bottle/tube of skincare should last you about a month.

Skin firming superstar melon extract works alongside moisturizing olive and jojoba extracts to totally renew the look of your skin. Peptides are added to assist in collagen production.

Plump up your skin with the Meaningful Beauty Wrinkle Smoothing Capsules for $55 (less than $1/capsule!)

Meaningful Beauty Lifting Eye Creme Review

Thanks to our physiology, the skin around our eyes is thinner. It simply has to be that way. But though it will always be more sensitive, it doesn’t have to sag.

The Lifting Eye Cream gets to work, increasing the elasticity of the skin around our eyes, popping out fine lines, and calming puffiness with the loving hydration of aloe, while grapeseed and melon extracts help tone down dark circles.

See the difference with a 0.5 fl oz tube of Lifting Eye Cream for $44

Meaningful Beauty Glowing Serum Review

Isn’t it frustrating that in life the things we usually want are difficult to attain, and the things we don’t are simple? It’s easy for skin to look dull, but great-looking skin can be an uphill battle.

The Glowing Serum makes it easy to have luminous skin by using a blend of plant extracts to boost your natural radiance. The serum brings a healthy dose of moisture as well, resulting in dewy, healthy-looking skin.

Don’t sweat it, get a 0.5 fl oz bottle of this Meaningful Beauty eye cream for $44

Meaningful Beauty Ultra Lifting and Filling Treatment Review

Plastic surgery is expensive and potentially harmful. But man, can it really make a difference in the way we look.

The Ultra Lifting and Filling Treatment uses the same ingredient that’s found within injectable fillers, sinking into your skin from the outside and plumping up saggy skin to make it look firm and supple

Of course, it won’t yield the same instant results that injectable fillers do, but if you’re looking for something that can bring you a similar effect over time, this treatment may be a good find.

Using potent antioxidants to protect your skin along with the brand’s signature melon extract along and orchid, this paraben-free 1 oz filling treatment is yours for $65

Is Meaningful Beauty Paraben Free?

Meaningful Beauty Review

If you’ve just jumped on the bandwagon searching for clean skin and body care products, you may be wondering what all the fuss is about when it comes to parabens.

Scientific studies have proven that parabens, when applied topically, can make it into our bodies, disrupt our hormones, affect reproductive organs, and cause birth defects and cancer.

Meaningful Beauty’s products are unfortunately not all paraben-free, but it does have a few that are, like the Ultra Lifting and Filling Treatment

Is Meaningful Beauty Good For Rosacea?

Meaningful Beauty Review

Some users have found that Meaningful Beauty has improved their rosacea dramatically. The entire line was formulated to reduce redness and smooth out roughness in about 4 weeks of consistent use.

How Long Does It Take To See Results From Meaningful Beauty?

Meaningful Beauty Review

Certain users say that they see a difference in their skin immediately, but, on average, you should begin to see results in about 4 weeks of regular use. Those who continue using for 8 weeks see even greater benefits.

Who Is Meaningful Beauty For?

Meaningful Beauty Review

Meaningful Beauty was developed to help you have a face as flawless as Cindy Crawford’s. That means it can help reduce the look of fine lines, bring about a brighter complexion, smooth roughness, and reduce redness.

We noticed that the claim didn’t say ‘wrinkles,’ only “fine lines,” so we can assume that this product is for women aged 30-60, but those over that age may see benefits from it as well.

Comparison: Meaningful Beauty vs. Caudalie

Meaningful Beauty Review

Caudalie claims to be a clean, natural, and sustainable skincare brand. Most of their ingredients are organic, but they do use synthetic fragrances. Meaningful Beauty uses quite a few more synthetic ingredients but does utilize several natural extracts as well.

Caudalie is a member of 1% for the Planet, with their headquarters located in Paris. The brand was created by a husband and wife team who learned about the power of grape seed extract and decided to develop their own product based on it.

Meaningful Beauty is owned by Guthy Renker and developed by Cindy Crawford’s own cosmetic doctor, Dr. Sebagh, who is also a plastic surgeon.

The brand was originally centered around French cantaloupe extract and have since updated their formulas to include more modern ingredients.

This Meaningful Beauty review will take a closer look at one of each brand’s comparable products to see what they’re made of. We’re going to be pitting the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum against the Meaningful Beauty Glowing Serum.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum uses olive squalane and viniferine (a grape seed extract full of antioxidants) to moisturize, brighter, lighten, and even tone. A 1 fl oz bottle is $89

The Meaningful Beauty Glowing Serum claims to tighten, brighter, firm, and moisturize. This product uses a lot more natural ingredients than we initially thought.

It’s packed with kelp, pumpkin, orange, and carob extracts, but there are a ton of other ingredients we’re not too sold on. A 0.5 fl oz bottle is $44

Their prices are on par, but Meaningful Beauty’s come in smaller containers. They don’t appear to have the same environmental mission as Caudalie does, and overall have a big-brand feel that is not present with Caudalie.

Meaningful Beauty Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Meaningful Beauty Review

If you’re wondering, “does Meaningful Beauty really work?” Then you’ve come to the right place.

In this section of our Meaningful Beauty review, we’ve compiled a few of the most helpful reviews we could find on the internet to answer that burning question.

The brand has been accredited on the BBB since 2005 and still manages to have an A+ rating. Though the brand’s profile shows 107 complaints, they’ve resolved all of them, so this number is quite insignificant, but it does show us they have attentive customer service

Insignificant as it may be, we still want you to know what you’re dealing with when you choose to buy from Meaningful Beauty, and so we’ll take a closer look at what the complaints are about.

Things like wrongful charges, subscription billing issues, and misleading ads are the most common complaints made about the brand to the BBB.

One negative review wrote, “I saw an ad on television to try Meaningful Beauty for $69.95. I purchased it. Now they are billing me for an additional $139.95.” This is an issue that is easily remedied but frustrating nonetheless.

Meaningful Beauty Review

The brand’s website shows an average rating of 4.7/5 stars awarded to them by 7,238 shoppers, with the vast majority being 5/5 stars reviews:

  • 5 stars – 5,235 buyers
  • 4 stars – 929 shoppers
  • 3 stars – 264 customers
  • 2 stars – 173 buyers
  • 1 star – 137 customers

There are many women over 50 that say they love how the products make their face look

One Meaningful Beauty review reads, “I noticed a huge difference after a few days! The dryness, the redness, all disappeared. My smile lines seem more plumped.” This is a common sentiment, while others say it simply makes their skin look “better.”

Those who rated the brand as 1/5 stars said that it was because the products they tried made no difference in their skin. One customer said that she will no longer be buying their product because the formula changed.

That reviewer goes on to say that “What used to be a very pleasant fragrance, now smells like dirty gym socks!” This may be because of the change in ingredients. The brand shifted to include more natural ingredients like olive fruit oil and jojoba that may have a funkier scent.

Meaningful Beauty Review

Since the brand’s website does not provide ratings for individual products, we took to good ol’ Amazon to get the scoop on what people think about Meaningful Beauty skincare:

  • 5-Piece Starter Kit, Gift Set: 4.3/5 stars out of over 2,000 ratings
  • Anti-Aging Daily Skincare System with Crème de Serum: 4.3/5 stars out of nearly 1,800 ratings
  • Meaningful Beauty Crème de Serum Melon Extract Nighttime Moisturizer: 4.5/5 stars out of 1,600+ ratings
  • Youth Activating Melon Serum: 4.5/5 stars out of over 1,300 ratings

We wanted to take a closer look at one particular product, so we chose to examine the Creme de Serum on Influenster because of their trustworthy evaluations. On the website, the product has a 4.2/5 stars rating out of 218 reviews.

Most shoppers write about how smooth and silky this product makes their skin feel, but others reveal more drastic effects:

After a month’s time the sunken area under eyes is gone. Now three months later the red burns under my eyes and on my nose [are] almost gone,” wrote one Meaningful Beauty review. Others say they noticed results within a few days of use.

Written in 2019, a comment on Influenster for the Creme de Serum read, “It’s very watery, takes forever to dry and absorb, and doesn’t wear under makeup well at all, it just balls up.”

Meaningful Beauty Review

Other reviews say that this product is light and absorbs easily, so the formula may have been reworked.

From what we found in our search, there was definitely more positive than negative feedback for the brand, with most customers loving at least one or two things about the products they use.

In some cases, Meaningful Beauty products have caused skin irritation, so be sure to test patch any product before using it on your entire face.

Is Meaningful Beauty Worth It?

Meaningful Beauty Review

Since the brand has updated their formulas, there are more natural ingredients and fewer chemical ones, but they still use quite a few synthetic ingredients that you should look out for.

Making most of their products paraben-free, Meaningful Beauty even has some dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic products as well. They state that their range is suitable for all types of skin. If you’re picky about ingredients, this may not be the brand for you.

With that being said, the brand’s skincare does appear to be effective according to customers. This Meaningful Beauty review found that the cost is comparable to other mid-range skincare products, and considering that it is shown to work, we think it’s worth it for the price

In terms of the ingredients, well, that’s up to you to decide if you’d rather avoid certain ones.

We must state that specific ingredients found within Meaningful Beauty products may be harmful to your health.

They’ve since eliminated some of them, but there are others like Phenoxyethanol and Benzyl Salicylate that can cause skin irritation or be potentially dangerous when applied.
