About Ka’Chava

Ka'Chava Review

Ka’Chava is an all-in-one meal replacement shake that contains a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals, as well as protein, digestive enzymes, adaptogens, antioxidants, and probiotics. It packs quite the punch, to say the least.

The vegan, gluten-free, and delicious vanilla and chocolate flavors have a creamy consistency and no filler ingredients.

If something tastes great and performs well, it’s going to generate a lot of buzz. That’s why we weren’t surprised to find so many mentions of the brand on websites like The Daily Beast, The Beet, Forbes, and Business Wire

The superfood-filled powder also shows a following of over 100k on Facebook and 135k on Instagram.

This Ka’Chava review will take an in-depth look at the brand, how their subscription process works, and exactly what’s inside their health-boosting shake.

We’ll also take a look at customer feedback, promotions, and more, to help you decide if the brand is worth the buy.

Overview of Ka’Chava

Ka'Chava Review

Looking good is one thing, but the founder of Ka’Chava believes that health is about so much more than image. Sure, when we feel good, our bodies reflect that, but we can also project the image of “health” (ie. thin, clear skin, etc.) and be extremely malnourished.

Simon Malone created the brand in 2014 as a way to help people live “in harmony with the earth.”

Malone knew how hard it is to eat healthy — to get a full spectrum of nutrition from varied plant-based sources. Ka’Chava was created to make that mission a little easier and help bodies get what they need to feel their best.

The brand was “inspired by ancient wisdom” and even incorporates some of the same superfoods used in Aztec times, like the Sacha Inchi seed. Opting for an all-vegan ingredient list, Ka’Chava pays respect to the earth.

Based in Henderson, Nevada, the brand promises only the best ingredients are selected for use in their Ka’Chava tribal superfood supplement.

With an extensive FAQ section on the website, they’re extremely transparent about how, where, and why their product is made.

Before we get into how the brand’s subscription service works, this Ka’Chava review will give you a quick rundown of their pros and cons:

Pros

  • Vegan, soy-free, and gluten-free
  • The brand only uses natural ingredients
  • Provides a complete source of nutrition
  • Transparent brand
  • May save you money if used as a meal replacement
  • Ships to some locations outside of the US
  • Money-back guarantee

Cons

  • Only comes in 2 flavors
  • Pricier per serving than other all-in-one powders

How Does Ka’Chava Work?

Ka'Chava Review

The makers of Ka’Chava figured that customers would like what they taste and feel when using the nutrient-packed meal replacement, so they created a subscription service around it that delivers 2 bags (30-day supply) to your door every month.

If an every-month delivery isn’t your thing, you can opt for your order to arrive every 15, 45, or 60 days instead. If you want to try out Ka’Chava without the subscription, you can totally do that too, just select “ONE-TIME” on the product page.

Subscribers save $10 per bag, but regardless of if your order auto-renews or not, you’ll get free shipping when you buy 2 bags at a time.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to subscribe, don’t stress about the commitment. You can cancel your membership at any time, and if you want a break, pausing or skipping a shipment is completely possible as well.

Before your order ships each month, Ka’Chava will send you an email reminder. If you decide this month isn’t ideal for you, log in to your account and simply pause or delay your shipment

The all-in-one Ka’Chava protein powder comes in two tried-and-true favorites, vanilla and chocolate. If this is your first time ordering and aren’t sure which one you’ll like best, consider ordering one of each bag.

As a subscriber, if you thought you were a vanilla-lover through-and-through but want to adventure to the dark side, you’ll be able to switch flavors as often as you like

In the next section of this Ka’Chava review, we’ll fill you in on what ingredients are inside the brand’s power-packed powder (hint: it’s so much more than just protein!)

Ka’Chava

Ka’Chava’s taste selection is simple, yes. But vanilla and chocolate are solid flavors that can’t be beaten.

Both mix incredibly well with other foods (think: Strawberry Vanilla milkshake or Cherry Chocolate ice cream) so they’re ideal choices for a powder that’s designed to be mixed.

Of course, you can enjoy Ka’Chava blended with cold water only and still experience a creamy, frothy beverage. How, you ask? The supplement is made with a powdered form of coconut milk.

If you’ve ever enjoyed the smooth, thick beverage, then you know how naturally creamy it is.

Whichever flavor you choose, each powder contains over 70 superfoods and nutrients to help boost your vitality. Ka’Chava also contains probiotics and digestive enzymes for digestion and gut health, as well as adaptogens for brain function.

Ka’Chava meal replacement contains 240 calories, 25 grams of protein, and 7 grams of fat. Because of its complete list of nutrients and satisfying protein, many users say it’s very filling.

Does Ka’Chava Help You Lose Weight?

Ka'Chava Review

The short answer is that it can help with weight loss. Many people replace one of their meals with a Ka’Chava shake. Because it’s low-calorie but ultra-filling, it cuts down on calories while satisfying your body’s need for nutrition.

Though the Ka’Chava weight loss shake isn’t specifically meant for weight loss, some people say it does help with the process.

The inclusion of probiotics and digestive enzymes may help, too. They assist your body in breaking down food, properly absorbing vitamins and minerals, then ensuring everything is running smoothly in the elimination department.

What Kind Of Protein Is In Ka’Chava?

Ka'Chava Review

Ka’Chava is a completely vegan supplement, so you won’t find a trace of whey or egg protein here! Instead, the brand uses a mixture of yellow split pea, brown rice, Sacha Inchi seed, amaranth, and quinoa.

These protein-packed sources contain fiber along with vitamins and minerals essential to muscle growth and satiety.

How Long Does Ka’Chava Last?

Ka'Chava Review

Each bag of Ka’Chava has 15 servings. The brand tells customers to use a heaping scoop — not a level one. If you open a bag and don’t consume it in 15 days, this Ka’Chava review notes that it’s best to use it within a month.

The brand states that the powder has a shelf life of 12 months if it hasn’t been opened.

Who Is Ka’Chava For?

Ka'Chava Review

Ka’Chava is a meal replacement powder, but can also be used as a muscle-gaining supplement, or even just as a snack.

Those who are looking to lose weight have success when replacing one meal per day with the powder, and bodybuilders looking to gain weight have also reported success when using it as a pre-workout beverage.

It’s all in your preferences. Ka’Chava is safe for kids, but it’s important that you read through the ingredient list with your child’s pediatrician before giving them a taste.

Comparison: Ka’Chava vs. Garden of Life

Ka'Chava Review

As life gets busier and health needs grow, more and more all-in-one nutrition protein powders are entering the health market. We can already sense how Ka’Chava differs from competitors, but we’re going to take a closer look at Garden of Life to see how they compare.

First, let’s take a look at some basic stats for Garden of Life’s Raw Organic Meal Shake:

  • 130 calories, 2 grams of fat, 7 grams of fiber, 1 gram of sugar
  • 20 grams of plant protein (pea, brown rice, amaranth, buckwheat, millet, quinoa, chia, adzuki bean, flax, garbanzo, lentil, pumpkin seed, sesame seed, sunflower seed)
  • 44 superfoods (greens, fruits, vegetables)
  • 21 vitamins and minerals (from whole food sources)
  • Probiotics (1.5 billion)
  • Digestive Enzymes

The Raw Organic Meal Shake has 14 x 34 gram servings per 17 oz container for $35. Ka’Chava has 15 x 60 gram servings per 32.8 oz bag for $69 ($59 if you subscribe).

From afar, it looks like Garden of Life has more value, but their servings are half the size of our featured brand.

If we did our calculations correctly, that means in the end, Garden of Life Raw Organic Meal Shake is $0.07 per gram and Ka’Chava is $0.07 per gram as well, plus or minus a few fractions of a penny.

Both powders are organic, vegan, and contain no junk ingredients. So what’s the main difference?

Taste and texture. Garden of Life uses real, raw vanilla, but the result just isn’t as creamy as Ka’Chava, and it doesn’t contain any adaptogens, nor have the same spectrum of vitamins or minerals.

How Much Is Ka’Chava?

Ka'Chava Review

Ka’Chava offers two forms of pricing, $70/bag for one-time purchases and $60/bag for subscribing members.

Ka’Chava Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Ka'Chava Review

To spend money, especially online, it’s important to know if a product works. Though we’ve read so many benefits that the brand’s protein powder can bring, we can’t help but wonder what it’s really like.

If you’re on the same wavelength as us, then you’re in luck, as this is the part of the Ka’Chava review where we show you our findings after a search for helpful customer feedback

With a 4.8/5 star average rating based on 20,184 customer reviews on the brand’s website, we already get the idea there’s something special about this all-in-one supplement.

Before we reveal what users have to say, take a look at the rating snapshot below:

  • 5 stars: 87%
  • 4 stars: 7%
  • 3 stars: 3%
  • 2 stars: 1%
  • 1 star: 2%

We found one Ka’Chava review that read, “This is a wonderful product…great tasting and I always feel good after drinking a shake. Kachava makes me ready to take on my day. Hard to believe a product loaded with all these great nutrients can taste this good.”

Most customers report that they love the flavors. We’ve also seen an abundance of them who favor the chocolate one. This is to be expected because there are so many vitamins and minerals included in the shake, and cocoa usually does a good job of masking earthy notes.

As for the negatives, many of the shoppers who rated the powder as 1-star couldn’t get past certain flavors in the powder. Some commenters also thought the product didn’t do its job as a meal replacement, writing, “I get hungry again in two hours.”

Satiety depends on your activity and bodily needs. If you have a higher metabolism, you may find Ka’Chava won’t keep you full for long periods, but many who lead active lives say it does.

Ka’Chava is sold through resellers on Amazon. The Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake has 4.5/5 stars from 4,200 ratings. Here’s a peek at the rating snapshot:

  • 5 stars: 72%
  • 4 stars: 13%
  • 3 stars: 8%
  • 2 stars: 3%
  • 1 star: 4%

The ratings are pretty similar to the ones on the brand’s website, so that’s a good sign they’re trustworthy.

What did customers particularly like about the powder? Many say it gave them better digestion and elimination, increased energy, and that they love the taste.

One Ka’Chava review said that in terms of mixability, it’s an “8/10,” and that they’d recommend using a blender. That fact is really good to know as no one likes drinking clumps of protein powder that don’t mix in. Yuck.

The main issue buyers faced with the supplement was the price. It proved to be a deal-breaker for many — even though they thoroughly enjoyed the taste and effects. Subscribing knocks $10 off, reducing each serving to $4. That’s not bad at all considering it’s a meal replacement.

Ka’Chava is known as Tribal Nutrition on the Better Business Bureau and has a C rating and a total of 2 complaints.

Why the low rating if there are so few complaints? Because they didn’t respond to one of those complaints. Ouch, BBB, that’s rough — but hey, every customer deserves the same respect.

From our findings, it looks like Ka’Chava chocolate powder is a winner with buyers. They love what’s in the supplement as well as how it makes them feel. Does the powder really work? It certainly seems to be the case.

Is Ka’Chava Worth It?

Ka'Chava Review

Ok, so let’s address the elephant in the room — the price. If $120 isn’t something you can swing each month, we totally get it. It’s not that the $4/serving price is unreasonable, it’s just that paying it all upfront can be daunting.

Paying for a $2-$6 coffee each day appears to be more reasonable, and yet, it’s really not. In fact, you could cut out your morning latte completely and switch to Ka’Chava instead.

Or better still, steep some cold brew and mix it in for a delicious coffee-chocolate drink hybrid extravaganza.

Considering that Ka’Chava contains adaptogens, probiotics, digestive enzymes, protein powder, superfoods, antioxidants, omegas, and fiber — a value of over $160 in individual supplements, if not more — we’d say they’re definitely worth the money

Plus, these components are all ground up into one delicious meal replacement powder that is saving you money on buying breakfast or lunch each day.

Too good to be true?
Asked by Alicia Hart (3 years ago) Reply

There is nothing worse than trying to drink something that is nasty. My hope is if I order this that I will like the flavor. Also many companies say they will refund you but it’s extremely hard to do.
THIS ALMOST SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
